John Groves will be speaking at the „Filmmusiktage“ event from the International Academy of Media and Arts Hall e.V.

John will be at the Filmmusiktage (in Sachsen-Anhalt) to speak about new opportunities for composers in his talk “Composer 4.0 – The New Cheese”. “New Cheese” referrers to a book about “change” by Spencer Johnson. It reiterates the Darwinian survival idea and John Groves claims it changed his life! (Watch the video below)

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change."

Leon C. Megginson idiosyncratic interpretation of the central idea outlined in Darwin’s “On the Origin of Species”.

The young film composer - clutching his fresh diploma - may be feeling very demoralized by the constant news of "doom and gloom" regarding future prospects for composers. Whereas these are definitely not the best of times, the glass should be seen as half full as there are still many opportunities for composers who are resourceful and adaptable.

John Groves will be talking about the world beyond music for TV and films. He will tell us about his work in Sound Branding as well as Sonification, sound for healthcare and his new project - SonicTonic. He will also talk about opportunities to produce radio jingles, music for events, library music, games and of course, advertising.

The talk is scheduled for 60 minutes including a questions & answer session.

Date: 03.11.17

Time: 10:00 o'clock
