about the Client
is a listed energy supply company based in Karlsruhe.
In terms of revenue, the company is the third-largest energy company in Germany after Uniper and E.ON.
In addition, EnBW also operates nationwide (with a focus on Baden-Württemberg) as a telecommunications provider via its subsidiary EnBW Telekommunikation GmbH.
EnBW began an extensive brand positioning process back in 2004, which was accompanied by a complete overhaul of the corporate design.
In addition to the visual redesign, a sound identity was also to be created for the first time.
The acoustic brand world to be developed by GROVES Sound Communications had to fulfill the following requirements: implement all relevant brand attributes of the energy supplier acoustically, underline the new corporate design, match the visual appearance and anchor the brand positively with the target group across various channels.
The sound logo developed by GROVES conveys the attributes of future, vision, technology and at the same time customer understanding. The modern logo optimally represents EnBW as a pioneer and trailblazer.
As only a few major competitors currently have a sound identity, EnBW clearly joins the ranks of pioneers here. The strategically developed sound logo is used at various touchpoints, e.g. in brand and image films, telephone waiting loops, mobile ringtones, sponsoring, the EnBW brand experience center and in the TV commercial with Franz Beckenbauer. The use of the Sound Identity at the Hannover Messe International was particularly innovative.
The EnBW stand was divided into six sections, both thematically and acoustically. This unique communication approach was rounded off by a 30 meter long, walkable and acoustically tangible impulse line.
